1. Agreement to These Terms
Welcome to Home Journey Plan ("we," "us," "our"), operating under the trade style Dream Nesty Livings. By accessing our website at www.dreamnestylivings.com, requesting an estimate, or booking any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use this website or engage our services.
These terms were written to be read — not just clicked past. If anything is unclear, call us at (205) 221-3463 and we'll explain it in person.
2. Who We Are
Home Journey Plan is a home services company based at 1184 Drummond Rd, Jasper, Alabama 35504, founded in 2022. We provide exterior painting, interior painting, lighting installation, electrical upgrades, plumbing upgrades and window replacement to homeowners across Jasper, Walker County and surrounding communities.
3. Our Services
All services are performed by our own employees or vetted, licensed subcontractors under our supervision. Work is performed in accordance with applicable Alabama building codes and manufacturer specifications. Descriptions, images and examples on our website are illustrative; your specific scope of work is defined solely in your written estimate and contract.
4. Quotes & Estimates
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. Following an on-site or remote consultation, we provide an itemized written quote, typically within 48 hours. Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Pricing may be adjusted after 30 days, or if site conditions differ materially from what was observable during the consultation (for example, hidden water damage, outdated wiring discovered behind walls, or non-code-compliant plumbing).
We will always notify you and obtain your approval before proceeding with any work that changes the quoted price.
5. Bookings, Scheduling & Cancellations
Booked dates are reserved for you and confirmed in writing. We commit to realistic start dates and a 98% on-time record — but severe weather, permit delays and emergency call-outs can occasionally require rescheduling. If we need to move your dates, we will notify you as early as possible and prioritize your rescheduled slot.
You may cancel or reschedule a consultation at any time at no charge. For approved projects, cancellations after materials have been ordered may incur a restocking fee covering our actual supplier costs, which we will document and itemize for you.
6. Payments & Deposits
No deposit is required to book a consultation. Approved projects are typically structured with a starting payment, milestone payments at defined stages, and a final payment due only after your satisfactory walkthrough. We accept checks, major cards and bank transfer. Late payments beyond 30 days may accrue a service charge of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, to the extent permitted by Alabama law.
7. Property Access & Site Conditions
You agree to provide reasonable access to the work areas, including water and electricity supply during working hours. We ask that pets be secured and valuables in immediate work zones be removed before our arrival. We protect floors and furnishings with professional-grade sheeting; however, we cannot be responsible for pre-existing conditions, items left inside active work zones, or mechanical failures of aging systems unrelated to our work.
8. Changes to the Scope of Work
Home projects evolve — we expect it. Any change to the agreed scope (additional rooms, upgraded fixtures, unforeseen repairs) will be documented in a written change order with revised pricing, and no extra work begins until you approve it. Verbal side-agreements are not our policy, for your protection and ours.
9. Workmanship Guarantee
All our work carries a 2-year workmanship guarantee from the date of completion. If a defect in our workmanship appears within this period, we will repair it at no cost to you. This guarantee covers labor and workmanship; materials remain covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. The guarantee excludes damage from floods, storms, accidents, misuse, structural movement, or work performed by others after our completion.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any project is limited to the amount you paid us for the work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, such as loss of use or loss of profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Alabama law.
11. Website Content & Intellectual Property
All text, graphics, logos, layouts and imagery on this website are the property of Home Journey Plan unless credited otherwise. You may not reproduce, republish or commercially use any part of it without our written permission. Quoting short excerpts with a link back is always welcome.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Alabama, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Walker County, Alabama, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always published on this page with its "last updated" date. Continued use of our website and services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
